Rawlings eulogizes Kenpong

Former president Jerry John Rawlings has euglogised business magnate Kennedy Agyepong, describing him as ‘selfless’ and ‘determined’.

Speaking during a visit by boxer Isaac Dogboe, Rawlings declared his admiration for the business tycoon and admonished Dogboe to emulate the businessman’s determination and sense of purpose.

“This is Kenpong, I call him the millionaire labourer, he has set records that even machines couldn't set. He rides on okada (motorbike) when he wants things done on time, that is the nature of this man, but we collapse him out of selfishness and greed. But somehow he is not deterred and I'm glad the president knows about him, he said.

The former President made the remarks when the talented boxer paid a courtesy call on him to present his WBO Interim Super Bantamweight title to him.

He urged Dogboe to keep his feet on the ground as he prepares for his next bout in the United States of America in the next few months.

Also present at the meeting were Dogboe’s father and trainer, Paul Dogboe, Ghana Boxing Authority nd Vice-President Rabon Dodoo.
